I read a lot more books this year than in 2010... a definite inverse corollary to writing less and seeking more escapism and/or inspiration.

I am further astonished at how few books I read this year (I read ca. 4x as many in 2009!). One big reason is that I spent a lot more hours productively writing, thus less time seeking distraction/ inspiration/ entertainment, and also less time seeking reassurance from others' stories. I was shocked and amazed to discover that I only saw 4 movies in a theater in 2010 (Avatar for the second time, Inception twice, and Salt).
